The only school of higher education in North America dedicated solely to freshwater sciences, the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences offers a wide range of research experiences, internships and fellowships in the water technology industry, public policy organizations and federal and state government.

Located on the shore of the world’s largest freshwater ecosystem, in Milwaukee’s culturally rich Harbor District, our school offers a unique opportunity for students to study complex freshwater ecosystems, weather patterns and climate change.

50 States Challenge for Military and Veterans Resource Center
When we have donors from all 50 states, it will unlock $5,000 from an anonymous donor to the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC). MAVRC works to address the challenges faced by current and former service members and their dependents. MAVRC is committed to assisting the military related students at UWM in completing successful transitions from the military, through their education and into the civilian workplace.
