As the largest UWM school, the College of Letters & Science includes more than 95 academic programs in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. It is the campus leader in research funding and expenditures, driving UWM’s status as a top-tier research institution. From research to student support, our alumni and donors are critical to our continued success.
The support for endowed professorships and chairs is essential to keeping the college on a path of excellence and helps us recruit and retain scholars at the forefront of their fields. Support for our research institutes and centers helps provide a place for students and faculty to collaborate and work. Last, student support is necessary and vital to provide not only scholarships but also opportunities for experiential learning, such as through study abroad. Study abroad allows our students to build their resumes, apply classroom theory to real-world situations and gain confidence from successfully navigating a new culture and language.
